In the late 2015 William Grant & Sons unveiled the House of Hazelwood, a range of three ultra-premium blended whiskies dedicated to Janet Sheed Roberts (1901-2012).
She lived in Hazelwood House, an art-deco property located close to Glenfiddich distillery, and is remembered as an ‘elegant woman with extraordinary spirit’. The main components of the blend come from Kininvie and Girvan distilleries, both owned by William Grant & Sons. The brand presentation echoes the 1920s and each of the three inaugural expressions is inspired by different city. House of Hazelwood 25 years old is presented in 500ml decanter inspired by Shanghai.

Palate: malty, vanilla, honey, toffee, candied orange peel, banana bread, hints of cinnamon and lemon pepper and delicate grassy and oaky notes.
Finish: fairly long, with notes of citrus, vanilla, caramel and nicely integrated oakiness.
