The Ballantine’s brand does not need further introductions; with annual sales little shy of 80 million bottles it is the second best selling Scotch after Johnnie Walker.
The brand has been around since 1827 when George Ballantine set up his store and started blending whisky himself. The key malts in the Ballantine’s formula are Miltonduff, Glenburgie and Glentauchers and in 2017 for the first time in its 190 years long history Ballantine’s unveiled three outstanding 15 years old signature single malts from the heart of Ballantine’s. Glentauchers Distillery, founded 1897 is located in Speyside and equipped with three pairs of stills produces 4.2 million liters of spirit per annum. The 15 years old expression comprises whisky aged in white American oak barrels.
