In 2016 the famous Parisian whisky retailer La Maison du Whisky celebrated its 60th Anniversary.
The company was founded in 1956 by Georges Bénitah and has established itself as one of the largest French specialists in the importing and distributing of rare whiskies. To commemorate the event LMDW has selected 150 exclusive bottlings from around the world. The one presented here comes from Edradour Distillery and comprises Ballechin single malt. The whisky distilled in 2005 was aged in white American oak barrels and finished in ex-Caroni rum cask (no. 906) for six months. Bottled at natural strength of 56.7% abv in 2016 with an outrun of 278 bottles.
