The Redemption brand was launched in 2011 by small independent bottler Bardstown Barrel Selection Inc. The brand includes bourbon and rye whiskey, both of which are supplied by MGP from Lawrenceburg, Indiana. As of June 9, 2015 Bardstown Barrel Selection operates as subsidiary of Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, Connecticut based distributors of wines and spirits. Redemption High Rye Bourbon is distilled from mash made of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley and aged for no less than one year in new charred white American oak barrels. In 2017 the company extended the range with Redemption Wheated Bourbon distilled from mash containing 45% of winter wheat.

Palate: oaky and spicy, pepper, aniseed, touch of mint, toasted rye bread, roasted nuts, caramel and licorice.

Finish: medium long, spirity and spicy, with notes of pepper, licorice, oak and mint.
