In 2011 the Teeling family had sold Colley and Kilbeggan distilleries to Jim Beam and founded Teeling Whiskey Company. The family whiskey-distilling heritage goes back to 1782, when Walter Teeling set up the distillery in Dublin. In 2015 the Teelings returned to Dublin and opened a new distillery. The Revival Volume III marks the 18-month Anniversary of the family return to Dublin. It is 14 years old whiskey distilled in 2002 originally aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Pineau des Charentes casks. (Pineau de Charentes is a type of fortified wine made from grape must and Cognac eau-de-vie.) The Revival Vol. III was released in the early 2017 with an outrun of 10000 bottles.
