However the definition of moonshine states that it is “any distilled spirit made in unlicensed pot” it is not the case of Catdaddy.
It is produced by fully licensed Piedmont Distillers in North Carolina and enjoys nation-wide distribution. Piedmont Distillery was founded in 2005 by Joe Michalek, a marketing executive from New York, who often travelled to North Carolina and fell in love with the region, its history and famous peach-flavored moonshine. Catdaddy Moonshine is triple distilled in copper pot still from American-grown corn. In the past the Southerners used name Catdaddy for the highest quality moonshine.
