Òrdha (Gaelic for ‘golden’ or ‘precious’) is a limited edition of Grant’s blended whisky (4900 bottles). It is the first of four expressions to be released as Rare Cask Reserves label exclusively for the Dutch market. Òrdha was created by Brian Kinsman, William Grant & Sons Master Blender, after consultation with Tony van Rooijen, Brand Manager for the Netherlands and Kevin Abrook, Grant’s Global Whisky Specialist. The initial tasting took place in October 2015 during Maltstock event, ‘a relaxed whisky weekend’. Òrdha was bottled unchill-filtered with pretty high strength of 47.4% abv.
