Kilchoman is the first new distillery opened on the Isle of Islay in 150 years. It has been producing whisky since 2005 using a single pair of stills. The initial release was launched on September 9, 2009 and Kilchoman has been experiencing steady growth ever since. The brand global sales reach 170 000 bottles and the distillery doesn’t have enough inventory to meet demand. The single cask edition (cask 254/2011) was bottled for the Polish importer, M&P Poland, on April 11, 2016. The whisky distilled on May 22, 2011 was finished in ex-Pedro Ximénez cask and bottled at natural strength of 58% abv.
