Longmorn Distillery was founded in 1894 by John Duff and is currently owned by Chivas Bros, subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. Its name derives from the Gaelic Lhanmorgund, what translates to “Place of the holy Man”. The distillery produces close to 4.5 million liters of spirit per annum with vast majority going into Chivas Regal 18 years old and Chivas Royal Salute blends. Gordon & MacPhail has been bottling Longmorn on regular basis as part of the Distillery Labels range. The 2002 Vintage expression contains whisky aged in first and second fill sherry hogsheads and bottled at 43% abv in 2016.
