Balblair founded in 1790 is one of the oldest working Scottish distilleries. It has been owned by Inver House Distillers for the last twenty years. In 2007 the company took strategic move and re-launched the entire core range replacing age statement with vintages. They backed the strategy with newly designed bottles and labels, what consequently moved the brand toward premium category and increased sales. First release of Balblair 2005 Vintage was launched in 2016 as a replacement to 2003 Vintage. It comprised whisky aged for a minimum of ten years in ex-bourbon casks and bottled without chill-filtration.
