Dailuaine Distillery, founded 1852, is owned by Diageo and despite its substantial distilling capacity (north of 5 million liters per annum) the official single malt offerings basically don’t exist. The last widely available one was 16 years old, part of Flora & Fauna range. At least 99% of Dailuaine’s output goes into vast Diageo blended whisky portfolio. The 1998 Vintage, released in 2013 as part of Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice range comprises whisky aged in refill sherry hogsheads.
