This time we can take truly educated guess where did the guys from Signatory Vintage source whisky for their Ayrshire Single Grain expression. There is just one grain distillery located in Ayrshire and it is Girvan. Girvan Distillery was built in 1963 by William Gran & Sons and after recent expansion it can produce roughly 110 million of spirit per annum. Girvan whisky is distilled mainly from wheat with little addition of malted barley. The Signatory Vintage expression, part of Single Grain Collection, contains whisky distilled in August 1998 and bottled after 17 years of aging in October 2015.
