Glendronach is relatively small distillery located in Highlands. In 1966 the number of stills was increased to four, what translates to 1.4 million liters of spirit per annum. In 1968 Glendronach was owned by William Teacher & Sons and mainly supplied malt to the Teacher’s brand. The 1968 Vintage expression was released in 1993, just three years before the distillery was mothballed. It contains whisky aged for a quarter of a century in ex-sherry casks. After being owned by BenRiach Distillery Company from 2008 to 2016 the distillery was sold to Brown-Forman Corporation, along with BenRiach and Glenglassaugh distilleries, for $ 416 million.
