James Oliver Rye Whiskey is a product of Indio Spirits from Portland, Oregon. The company was established in 2004 as a producer and distributor of alcoholic beverages. There is no information where James Oliver Rye Whiskey is sourced from, but its mashbill of 100% rye may give some clue. We are aware of only one commercial distillery producing 100% rye whiskey, Alberta Distillers Limited currently owned by Beam Suntory. The whiskey is aged in heavily charred white American oak barrels (so called alligator char) for a minimum of four years and bottled at 100 US Proof (50% abv). On the back label there is a story of James Oliver, who in the age of 14 meets moonshiners and discovers his destiny.
