West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 in Union Hall, south-western part of Cork County. Their first whiskey, Kennedy’s Irish Whiskey, was launched as early as 2004. The distillery moved its headquarters to the nearby town of Skibereen in 2013, looking for a greater expansion possibilities. At present, their whiskey, vodka, gin and traditional Irish poitín are available in 35 countries across the globe.
Drombeg Irish Whiskey is a classic Irish blended whiskey, matured in two types of cask – ex-bourbon and Irish oak casks. The name comes from one of the stone circles in Cork County, south-western Ireland.
Nose: Pleasant vanilla sweetness with some maltiness and spices.
Palate: Distinct malty sweetness intertwines with oakiness, nutmeg and citrus notes.
Finish: Medium length, with subtle, slowly fading sweetness and citrus notes.
