Camus is a cognac brand that has belonged to the same family for five generations now. Camus cognac production began in 1863, when Jean Baptiste Camus organised a group of cognac producers to promote their product as La Grande Marque. In early 20th century Camus was a awarded the status of the official cognac at the Russian tsar court. Today Camus is a global brand employing some 500 people.
Camus Family Heritage 1972 is an extremely rare, limited vintage edition. In 2006 only 4464 individually numbered bottled were filled with a spirit that matured in traditional oak casks since the distillation, which took place in 1972.
