Evan Williams is the best selling bourbon from Heaven Hill Distillery. It is made from a mashbill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. Along with standard bottling every year the company, as the only bourbon producer, releases single barrel vintage expression. The vintages vary slightly but their quality has been pretty consistent. The 1991 Vintage released in January 2001 was named the Bourbon of the Year by “Malt Advocate”. Heaven Hill is the biggest privately owned bourbon producer and the owners don’t share too much information about their operations. We know that the company’s inventory exceeds 700 000 barrels and Evan Williams annual sales are close to 1.4 million cases.
