Speyburn may not be the most recognized single malt but it still sells more than half a million bottles annually and for decades it has been one of the top sellers in the USA. Speyburn has been owned by Inver House Distillers since 1991 and after major expansion completed in the spring of 2016 it is the biggest distillery in the company portfolio. The 25 years old expression was launched in November 2012 as a replacement to the Solera version (also 25 years old). The whisky was aged in American oak, ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46% abv. The part of the package are two engraved collapsible metal tasting cups. In 2015 Speyburn 25 years old scored silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
