Jack Daniel’s has been the best selling American whiskey forever, with over 12.5 million cases sold annually worldwide.
It is also the most collectable one with thousands (if not millions) of collectors following closely each limited release. Beginning in 1996 and continuing for the next ten years, the Jack Daniel’s Distillery released its Gold Medal series of commemorative bottles. Comprised of seven unique designs, each bottle in the series celebrates a different gold medal won by the distillery. In 1913 Jack Daniel’s entered whiskey competition in Ghent, Belgium. Although Jack was no longer there to represent his whiskey (he passed away in 1911) the distillery still walked away with another (the third) gold medal. This edition from 1998 commemorates the achievement.
