Cù Bòcan is a lightly peated expression of Tomatin single malt. It was introduced in 2013 as permanent edition to the distillery product range. Its name derives from a legendary hellhound that has stalked residents of the village of Tomatin for Centuries. While standard Cù Bòcan is a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and virgin oak casks, the Virgin Oak expression is part of a trilogy highlighting the individual cask styles that contribute to the whisky profile. Cù Bòcan Virgin Oak was launched in 2015 following Sherry Cask edition with an outrun of 6000 bottles. The whisky was fully matured in virgin oak casks.
