Ardbeg Monster Pack

Ardbeg TEN 10 Year Old / 46% / 0.2l

Ardbeg 10 years old debuted in 2000 and was based on whiskies distilled by the previous owners, the Allied Domecq concern. In 2008, Glenmorangie had enough of its own distillates to launch a new 10-year version on a permanent basis. Thus was born Ardbeg Ten, aged in bourbon barrels and bottled without cold filtration with an alcohol content of 46%. This whisky is often referred to as the calling card of the Isle of Islay.

Ardbeg Wee Beastie, 5 Year Old / 47.4% / 0.2l

It is a blend of distillates aged in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks for at least 5 years bottled at 47.4% alcohol and without cold filtration. Mickey Heads, Ardbeg's manager, who has just announced his retirement, described the new creation this way: "the introduction of a new whisky to the permanent range is always a big event for a distillery, but Wee Beastie has special significance for me, as young whisky brings the consumer closer to the alembic to the highest degree, and this for me is key to the quality of the distillate.". The term "Wee Beastie" is sometimes used in Scotland to refer to small and annoying insects, such as mosquitoes.

Ardbeg An Oa / 46.6% / 0.2l

Here we present An Oa, the latest offering from the iconic distillery that bears the name of the peninsula, the southernmost part of the island of Islay. This whisky is the first permanent addition to Ardbeg's commercial portfolio since 2009 (the debut of Corryvreckan), which until now has listed Uigeadail, Corryvreckan and TEN. It was put together from distillates aged in various types of barrels, including Pedro Ximénez sherry, bourbon and so-called virgin oak casks, the marriage of which was done in a special "meeting vat" (Gathering Vat) constructed from French oak.
