Ardbeg 25 Years Old is the latest, and the steepest edition to appear in Ardbeg's permanent portoflio. Bottled at 46% strength from bourbon barrels filled in the 1990s. In the 1970s, when the distillery produced only a trickle of new spirit each year. Giving you the opportunity to experience some of the most rare and valuable editions of Ardbeg. It is proof that age cannot tame the smoky power of Ardbeg, but it can bring some of the most complex and majestic flavors the distillery has ever produced. Ardbeg 25 Year Old is Ardbeg at its most intricate, balanced and charming. The unique packaging conceals a silver metallic bottle, enclosed in a metal "cage" - which captures the unctuousness and complexity of this most precious whisky.

Taste

Extremely lively, sharp peppery aftertaste in the mouth leads to a surge of sorbet lemon sweetness (candied apples, pears and orange), notes of carbolic soap and tar, creamier toffee, aniseed and chili pepper.

Aroma

Sharp, creamy notes of smoke, peppermint and toffee with classic Ardbeg notes of fennel and pine resin. Distant earthy campfire notes mix with herbal and fruity notes (banana and tropical) and aromatic candle wax.

Finish

Aftertaste long, mild, long-lasting, with lots of cream, fudge and delicate antiseptic notes. Elegant, soothing Ardbeg style.
